An Introduction to MyBookShop

I dedicate this blog to my love of reading. I have benefited a lot from my reading habit and I want to share it with the people out there. Keeping the knowledge from what I have read to myself alone means that I am limiting my knowledge. Sharing my knowledge with the world makes me feel better. I realised that I will not lose anything by sharing my knowledge with the people out there. In fact, with Allah's will, I will gain a lot more by sharing.

As such, in this blog, I will not only discuss on the books that I have read but also to sell it to those interested to purchase at a discounted price. It is not that I do not like to keep those books but I believe that it is better to pass it to someone else to read rather than displaying them on my book rack. With the money that I get from selling the books, I will purchase another books and keep the cycle works.

So, for those who are interested to puchase any books in my collection, do drop me a line and your contact details and I will do the rest.

Holly couldn't live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other's sentences. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed. The kind of enchanting novel with cross-generational appeal that comes along once in a great while, PS, I Love You is a captivating love letter to the world!.

A Desirable Residence by Madeline Wickham

Liz and Jonathan Chambers are in trouble. Mortgage trouble. They've overextended themselves with their latest exciting project - exciting to Liz, that is - buying and managing the Silchester Tutorial College, and now can't sell their old house. So, here they are, with two mortgages, mounting debts, and a miserable adolescent daughter. Then Marcus Witherstone comes into their lives - and at first it seems he will solve all their problems. Marcus, senior partner in Silchester's leading real-estate agency, is large, assured, and wears an expensive coat. He brings the perfect tenants in from London to rent their old house - glamorous PR girl Ginny and the nearly famous Piers. Everything will be fine. As unintentional as it is inevitable, Liz and Marcus find themselves in the thralls of an adulterous tryst. While Marcus finds it all too easy to hide his affair from his wife, Liz spends her days wrapped up in blissful dreams of her lover. Jonathan, in the meantime, is left to run the school. And both parents are too preoccupied to notice the desperate passion developing in their daughter for the tenants, Piers and Ginny. Entanglements grow increasingly uncomfortable, and as events close in on Marcus, he begins to realize that some deceptions are just a bit too close to home.

Swimming Pool Sunday by Medeleine Wickham

On a scorching hot Sunday in May, the Delaneys open their pool to all the village for charity. It is an annual event, a holiday of sorts for the people of Melbrook: Louise is there, along with her daughters Amelia and Katie. And also there, unfortunately, is her estranged husband Barnaby, glaring at her resentfully. This was supposed to be his day with the girls, but Louise ignores his angry glowers - it isn't her fault they wanted to come swimming with her, is it? While the children splash and shriek in the cool, blue waters, she lies blissfully back in the sun and dreams of Cassian, the charismatic new lawyer in her life. The day is perfect. But suddenly a terrible accident shatters the afternoon, and as the consequences of an awful tragedy spiral into a drama of recrimination and jealousy, Louise finds herself pulled in three directions at once. Her friendships crumble, the village splits, and the needs of her injured child become secondary to a dangerous contest of blame between her and Barnaby, a contest that may tear their lives apart once and for all.
